LA BOTTEGA DI VIA MAGGIO 'OSTERIA IN BOTTEGA': Reviews & Ratings
Walk over the bridge and leave the tourist traps behind. This restaurant, where little English is spoken (just enough though) is a gem. My partner had the roast beef - thinly sliced and served with a Chianti sauce… “the best roast beef I’ve ever had”. Huh. That’s what she said about mine not that long ago… I had the Gnocchi Della Bottega, a pesto sauce and tomatoes over soft, tender gnocchi… amazing. Paired with the Chianti by the glass in a character-filled little restaurant where the Italian is spoken furiously and the nonna next to me is singing along with the music. It’s more than a meal, it’s an experience.
This is just a fab place, authentic Italian homemade dishes, best ravioli I had in Italy. Gnocchi to die for. Very positively surprising spot. Would definitely come back. It's my favourite place in Tuscany.
All good - the food, the drinks, the compliment, the cosy atmosphere. 3 stars for service. Does a family run restaurant rushes you to leave because you have had only two cocktails and a plate with meat. The plate wasn't even still empty. This has not happened to me anywhere. Sorry. It is not all about money guys.
